Dear Sir,

इद्द् ।।

Your letter to Mr. R. G. MOEwan,

109 Strathmartine

Road, Dundee dated 18th inst. has been handed to me and Mr. Mozwan has consulted me regarding the matters referred to in that letter.

I wish to press the matter a little further regarding the amount of pension awarded to my client by the Colonial Government. This matter came up for discussion so far back as July, 1913 and in a letter over the signature "L. Harcourt", dated 12th July, 1912 directed from Downing street to Sir F. H. Hay, the then Governor at Hong Kong, the point was u decided in these words I have the honour to acknowledge the receipt

"of Mr. Sevem's diapatch 235 of 18th June with regard to the Pension for which Mr. R. G. McEwan will be eligible on his retirement and to *inform you that I concur in the view expressed by Mr. Severn that this "officer's service should be treated as a continuous whol@".

Will you

please inform me who has overturned this decision and on what grounda?

I should like to have access to the regulations govern:

Will you please tell me where I can see them?

ing these pensions.

Yourg faithfully,

Jagree.
